  • Authentic vintage Italian art pottery handcrafted in Deruta, Italy—a world-renowned ceramic center in Umbria famous for producing exquisite majolica and studio pottery since the Renaissance.
  • Produced by Ceramiche Volpi Deruta, an influential mid-century studio created by Giovanni Volpi (who notably co-founded the iconic C.A.M.A.
  • Deruta studio in 1928), highly regarded for bold atomic, abstract, and post-war modernist designs.   Showcases striking Mid-Century Modern aesthetic details: a rippled satin black body adorned with vibrant raised enamel mosaic accents in turquoise, yellow, red, and lavender, contrasting white abstract geometric motifs, and intricate white lace-like glaze along the corners.
  • Features four curved cigarette/cigar rests lined in glossy yellow enamel, making it a versatile architectural catchall, trinket dish, or statement centerpiece.
  • Signed on the underside in incised hand script: "VOLPI DERUTA ITALY 2215/14".
  • Condition Assessment: Outstanding vintage condition with bright enamel colors, intact glaze, and no chips, cracks, or restorations; light, minor age-commensurate shelf wear to the unglazed foot rim on the underside.
  • Dimensions: 5.25" x 5.25" x 2"
