Did you know that the couch, table, or lamp you no longer need could help support affordable housing for local families?

Communities grow stronger when people come together to support one another. Sometimes, that support can come from something as simple as donating an item you no longer need.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Oshawa is currently looking for donations of gently used furniture, appliances, home décor, renovation materials, and household items to help support affordable housing initiatives across the GTA.

Every donation made to ReStore helps create a bigger impact than many people realize. Items donated to Habitat ReStore GTA are resold within the community at a more affordable cost, and the proceeds are directly given to Habitat for Humanity GTA’s mission of helping families build strength, stability, and independence through affordable housing.

Donations also help reduce waste by keeping quality items in use and out of local landfills. Furniture, building materials, appliances, and household goods that still have plenty of life left can continue serving a purpose in another home.

The Oshawa community has always been built on neighbours helping neighbours. Whether it’s a single piece of furniture, leftover renovation materials, or household items in good condition, every donation contributes to something meaningful.

Habitat ReStore GTA accepts a variety of gently used items, including:

• Furniture
• Appliances
• Home décor
• Cabinets and renovation materials
• Lighting fixtures
• Tools and hardware
• Household items

Support from the community plays an important role in helping Habitat for Humanity GTA continue creating affordable housing opportunities for local families while promoting more sustainable communities across the region.

If you have gently used items you’re able to donate, consider supporting Habitat for Humanity ReStore GTA in Oshawa. Small contributions can make a lasting impact!
