Kroehler's history began as the Naperville Lounge Company, officially incorporated on March 9, 1893. Under the leadership of figures like Peter E. Kroehler, who joined shortly after its founding, the company experienced significant growth. By April 1, 1915, the company consolidated its operations and adopted the name Kroehler Manufacturing Company. This company grew to be one of the worlds largest furniture producers. While its primary roots where in the United states, it expanded into Canada with manufacturing plants in Ontario. Although the company went through changes in ownership and restructuring, the Kroehler name remains associated with a long history of furniture manufacturing.
